Personal
I moved to Nevada in 2005 and built my home in the Virginia City Highlands in 2006. I selected the VCH because of its rugged beauty, rural lifestyle, deep sense of community and its connection to nature through the horses, bobcats, deer and ‘yotes who roam freely throughout the area. My house is completely off-grid and I love the feeling of independence and quiet.
I grew up in Florida and spent summers in France with my grandparents. When my father was relocated to Japan I attended my first two years of college in Tokyo, Japan. I then moved to Eugene, Oregon where I attended and graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Psychology. During my college years I spent time in France with relatives and two summers in the Middle East when my family moved there from Japan.
I joined Intel Corporation in 1979 in Portland, Oregon. During my 20 year tenure with Intel I worked at Intel's facilities in Portland, Oregon ,Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Silicon Valley and Folsom, California and managed a multi-site and worldwide staff during numerous management positions. Once retired from Intel I decided to change my fast paced lifestyle to one that was less crowded, more relaxed, and free. The Comstock and the Highlands fit that bill perfectly!
